Our Commitment to Business Operations

Oasis Voices of Humanity Foundation, Inc. (OVH) prohibits its employees from engaging in any activities that might constitute an actual or potential conflict of interest with respect to OVH’s business standards and values.

Our Policy

The following is a general framework and guideline for acceptable standards of business operation. Employees should seek further clarification for any issues not specified in this policy.

An actual or potential conflict of interest occurs when an employee is in a position to make or influence a business decision that may result in personal gain for that employee or for a relative, due to OVH business dealings. For the purposes of this policy, a relative is defined as any person who is related to the employee by blood or marriage, or whose relationship with the employee is similar to that of persons who are related by blood or marriage.

Personal Gain includes, but is not limited to, situations where an employee or relative has significant ownership in a firm with which OVH does business, or when an employee or relative receives kickbacks, bribes, substantial gifts, or special considerations as a result of any transaction or dealings involving OVH.

Business dealings with outside firms should not result in unusual gains for those firms. “Unusual gain” refers to bribes, product bonuses, special fringe benefits, unusual price breaks, and other windfalls designed to ultimately benefit the outside firm or its employees (or both).

No presumption of guilt is created merely by the existence of a relationship with outside firms. However, if employees have influence over transactions involving purchases, contracts, or leases, they must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest to an officer of OVH as soon as possible. Safeguards will then be established to protect all parties and to maintain the integrity of OVH’s operations.

Transparency and Compliance: All employees must adhere to this Conflict of Interest Policy and report any potential conflicts immediately. Employees are encouraged to raise any concerns related to conflict of interest, compliance with this policy, or any ethical questions they may have regarding their involvement with outside firms.

OVH is committed to maintaining the highest standards of business ethics and to complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Any conflicts of interest or perceived conflicts that might affect OVH’s operations or reputation will be addressed promptly to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability.
